The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan Peoples Party on Friday authorised Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to dissolve the federal cabinet.

The CEC meeting, which was headed by President Asif Ali Zardari, was held in Islamabad.

PPP leader Jahangir Badar while talking to new-men after meeting said that the CEC has allowed PM to dissolve federal cabinet and it would be dissolved after consulting with coalition partners.

He informed that All the Ministers, Advisors, Special Assistants and those holding rank of Ministers will cease to hold offices on a date to be soon decided by the Prime Minister.
