Aisam-Bopanna defeated in Sydney Open semis

The Pakistan-India pair of Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna failed to win a doubles title and lost their way in the semi final stages in Sydney on Thursday.

This time the Pak-India Express was derailed in the doubles semi final of the Sydney Open tennis tournament by the pair of Paul Hanley of Australia and Lukas Dalohi of Czech Republic.

Earlier, the Aisam-Bopanna duo was defeated in the Chennai Open quarter-finals by the Dutch-American pair of Robin Haase-David Martin.

Although, the pair once again lost in a bigger match, but they showed stiff competition to the Czech-Aussie pair in the first set eventually losing it by 7-5.

However, Aisam-ul-Haq and Rohan Bopanna changed their game in the second set and took it by 6-4.

The third set proved a hard one for both sides as after a mammoth fight, Lukas Dalohi and Paul Hanley managed to edge past the Pak-India Express by 10-8.

The Czech-Australia pair will now face the Brian Brothers, Bob Brian and Mike Brian, in the doubles event final of the Sydney Open.
