MQM announces to rejoin coalition

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Friday announced to sit on the government’s benches, but it would not join federal Cabinet. This was announced by the MQM leader Raza Haroon.

While talking to journalists, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had good relations with MQM. “I request MQM to come back.”

Gilani said that he visited nine zero first time in his life and would meet to Altaf Hussain very soon.

He said that we want to work with MQM sincerely and we would remove the problems of MQM’s Ministers. PM said that Qaim Ali Shah has also assured MQM to take them confidence in their cabinet decision.

Prime Minister Gilani invited MQM to rejoin the coalition.

At that movement MQM leader Raza Haroom welcomed PM and said that their party would sit on the government’s benches but they will rejoin Federal Cabinet right now.

He said that country is passing through very critical phase and MQM is ready for every sacrifice in the larger interest of the country.

Earlier, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was greeted with flower upon his arrival at Nine-Zero, the headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as the premier attempts to woo the MQM back into the coalition.

The primer minister was accompanied by Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minster Rehman Malik.
