Cop killed in Afghan bombing
An Afghan interior ministry official says a bomb in central Kabul has killed one police officer and wounded three other people.
Abdul Saboor, an officer with the ministry's counterterrorism unit, said Tuesday the bomb went off about 8 a.m. as a senior police officer attempted to defuse it. Two other police officers and a civilian were wounded.
The blast occurred in an area near several government buildings, including the finance and defense ministries.
