Pakistan rejects international pressure for NW operation
Pakistan on Thursday made it clear that no pressure will be accepted to launch operation in North Waziristan, says the parliament is the only authority which can decide to launch such operation.
Addressing to the National Assembly, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Pakistan is a democratic country and parliament is the forum which decides about such operations.
He said positive results can only be achieved if such decision are taken after consultation of political leadership as what happened in Swat and South Waziristan.
He dismissed the impression that ISI officials will appear in the US court, saying ISI is an important and sensitive institution of Pakistan and no one can force them to appear in court of any other country.
He said that no compromise would be made on country’s sovereignty and integrity.
