Parliamentarian committee for appointment judges on Wednesday endorsed Justice Aijaz Chauhdhary to as Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore high court (LHC) and Senator Nair Bukhari was unanimously elected the first chairman of committee.

Meeting was held in Islamabad, attended all eight members of committee.

Government members offered chairmanship to PML-N and PML-Q. However opposition proposed Nair Bukhari’s name who was elected unanimously.
