NATO service member killed in Afghanistan
NATO says a service member has been killed by a bomb in eastern Afghanistan.
The statement about Monday's death did not give the service member's nationality or other details.
Insurgents often cross over the border into mountainous eastern Afghanistan from bases in Pakistan. ¼he death brings the total number of NATO soldiers killed this year to 621.
