3 killed in Peshawar blast
At least 3 people were killed and 22 others sustained severe injuries when a home-made bomb exploded on Friday inside a mosque in Pushta Kharra area of Peshawar.
According to the details, the blast occurred shortly after the Juma Prayer killing three people on the spot and causing damages to the mosque building.
Police and rescue officials rushed to the area immediately after the blast. The injured were taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex.
Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bashir Bilour, visiting the mosque, termed the culprits behind the shameful attack worse than animals and reiterated government’s resolve to fight terrorism until the end of the menace.
Earlier, SP city Ejaz Ahmed told media persons that about 1.5 kg of explosive material was used in blast.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the attack and ordered probe into the incident.
