At least eight killed in Georgian gas blast
A blast at a filling station for oxygen canisters killed at least eight people on the outskirts of Tbilisi on Friday and rescuers were looking for others trapped in the rubble, the city's deputy prosecutor said.
"At least eight people died in the blast," deputy prosecutor Mikhail Abuladze told Reuters.
He said emergency services were searching for people trapped beneath the rubble of the building, which Reuters correspondents said was completely destroyed by the blast.
The windows of surrounding buildings were blown out and rubble was scattered over the streets surrounding the blast site on the outskirts of the Georgian capital
