Bush speaks to Mubarak after Olmert visit
President George W. Bush spoke to his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday, a day after the US president met with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the White House said.
Bush and Mubarak discussed the situation in the Palestinian territories as well as conditions in Lebanon and Sudan, a spokesman for the national security council, Gordon Johndroe, said.
The conversation by telephone was "part of their continuing consultations on issues of importance in the region", the spokesman said.
