Cheney's office denies he's in Iraq for Thanksgiving
The office of US Vice President Dick Cheney denied reports on Thursday that he was in Iraq on an unannounced visit to mark the US Thanksgiving holiday with US troops.
"He's not there," Megan McGinn, a Cheney spokeswoman, told AFP by telephone. Asked if Cheney would travel to Iraq, she said: "No."
"He's planning on going to Saudi Arabia tomorrow," McGinn said.
The trip to Saudi Arabia for talks on the Middle East had been announced by the White House on Wednesday.
