Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that progress and prosperity of Balochistan was among the top priorities of the PPP-led government.
“The government is utilizing all resources for development of Balochistan,” the PM said while talking to Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi, Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani and MNAs belonging to Balochistan at a meeting held here soon after his (PM’s) arrival at the CM secretariat. Federal Ministers Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Rehmatullah Kakar and Hamayun Aziz Kurd were also present on the occasion.
The PM exchanged views with the CM, Governor and MNAs on the ongoing development projects in the province.
The PM said that the forthcoming presidential election had great significance regarding complete restoration of democracy in the country.
He said that Co-chairman PPP Zardari would resolve problems of Balochistan after being elected as President.
Earlier, a smartly turned out contingent of Balochistan Police personnel presented a guard of honour on the arrival of the PM here at the CM secretariat.
