Stars, smiles, applause, tears and a black lady...yes, the Filmfare Aawards are back. One of the most prestigious award ceremonies of Bollywood is scheduled for February 27, 2010, at Yash Raj Studios, Andheri, Mumbai.
Nominations for the 55th Idea Filmfare Awards 2009 were announced recently. The Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer Kaminey topped the nominations chart, followed by 3 Idiots, Love Aaj Kal, Wake Up Sid and Paa. Kaminey earned nine nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female).
Last year Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchans Jodha Akbar swept all the awards in major categories. And it was the hosts Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan who added the fun factor to the glamorous night.
