ERRA to reconstruct remaining projects on fast track: Chairman

The newly appointed Chairman Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (ERRA) Hamid Yar Hiraj said that the management of the authority has focused on completing the ongoing projects within a time line of two years. Addressing ‘Donor Conference” here on Tuesday, he appreciated the positive role of the donors in reconstruction and rehabilitation.Welcoming the guests, Deputy Chairman ERRA Lt Gen Muhammad Haroon Aslam thanked the gornment of Pakistan, Governments of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Khaber PakhtunKwa, International partners for their all-out support for ERRA. 
He lauded the role of International partners like USAID, UNICEF, UNDP, JICA, European Commission, Word Bank, IDB. SDC, CIDA who have been active partners with ERRA in reconstruction and rehabilitation of the earthquake affected areas of AJ&K and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Confident of ERRA’s progress and warm response of donors and sponsors , the Deputy Chairman  said that though the country had tough time facing world’s one of the worst natural disasters, however, ERRA’s success story speaks of international community working hand in hand with Pakistan. 
The conference was largely attended by over 70 international partners along with Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Oman and other highups of  financial institutions.
