The first meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for appointment of superior courts' judges is underway today in Committee Room of Parliament house .

The eight-member committee has been constituted under 18th Amendment to the Constitution for appointment of superior courts' judges.

The committee is comprised Senators Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Ishaq Dar, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari and Sabir Ali Baloch and MNAs Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, Ghous Bux Mahar, Aftab Shahban Mirani and Asma Arbab Alamgir.
