The Provincial Law Department has issued notification for regularization of provincial government employees serving on contract or adhoc basis after the approval of the Ordinance by the Governor.
According to the notification all adhoc and contract employees who served till December 31, 2008 would be considered regular from January 1st,2009 and would therefore be entitled to all benefits availed by regular employees.
It is pertinent to mention here that Governor NWFP Owais Ahmad Ghani had approved the ordinance for regularization of the contract employees.
The decision of the provincial government would benefit more than 6000 employees serving in various public sector departments with maximum number of employees from the Education and Health departments.
