The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has sent a show cause notice to party lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat for violating party discipline.

“Despite clear directions from founding chairman Imran Khan, you have, amongst others, made disparaging remarks against the secretary general of PTI and even made adverse comments on the ongoing negotiations,” it said.

The PTI has also initiated action against Ali Muhammad Khan, and Shandana Gulzar for allegedly violating the party discipline, sources said on Monday.

They added that the former ruling party, “on the instructions of jailed party leader Imran Khan”, would de-notify MNA Marwat.

In addition, MNAs Ali Muhammad and Shandana are also set to receive show-cause notices. Both are accused of leaking the party’s internal matters.

It added that the notice was issued after Khan’s orders. According to the statement, Marwat has to respond in seven days as to “why disciplinary action should not be taken against you.”
