Pakistan’s IT exports decline after 13 months of growth

Pakistan’s IT exports have witnessed a decline for the first time in over a year, ending a streak of 13 consecutive months of increases.

In November 2024, IT exports fell by $6 million compared to October, marking a 2% drop on a month-to-month basis.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, IT exports totaled $324 million in October but decreased to $318 million in November.

Despite this monthly decline, the sector showed a significant year-on-year growth of 25% compared to the same period last year.

For the first five months of the current fiscal year, Pakistan’s IT exports reached $1.53 billion, a substantial rise from $1.15 billion during the same period last year.
