The government agency has warned citizens against fake websites impersonatingthe National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) services.
“Citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, are strongly advised NOT to interact or conduct any transactions with these sites,” the government agency said in a Facebook post on Friday.
In the recent past, the Foreign Office also warned the people against such fake websites.
“It has been observed that after the success of the NADRA online website, many people have started using NADRA online system for commercial purposes and have opened fake websites and agencies/bureaus where they process NICOP/POC applications for applicants,” it said.
The FO warned that such bureaus/agencies were not only charging extra money other than notified fees from applicants but also the complete data of the applicant goes to an unknown agent. It urged overseas Pakistanis to apply online for ID/NICOP/POC only through the official website.
“NADRA does not have collaboration with any other organization or website. The Government of Pakistan does not take responsibility for any misuse of provided data or any loss of payment made on any other website,” it said.
