Gold prices in Pakistan rose by Rs2,100, reaching Rs277,300 per tola, marking a continued upward trend on Friday.
The price for 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs1,800, standing at Rs237,470, according to the local Sarafa Association and the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association.
This jump in local prices mirrors a rise in the global market, where gold increased by $21 to $2,661 per ounce.
