Govt announces significant price reductions for pulses, sugar

The government has reported significant decreases in the prices of various pulses and sugar.

Since September, the price of black chickpeas has dropped by Rs50 per klogram. Additionally, gram dal, which previously sold for Rs400 per kilogram, is now priced at Rs360.

The cost of mash dal has also seen a reduction, falling from Rs500 to Rs425 per kilogram.

Furthermore, the price of first-grade kabuli chickpeas has decreased from Rs400 to Rs355 per kilogram.

Small kabuli chickpeas have seen a price drop from Rs320 to Rs295. In the sugar market, the wholesale price is now Rs122, while retail prices have stabilized at Rs125.
