Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum: What to expect from the final episode?

The acclaimed Pakistani drama serial Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum has immensely captivated audiences who are eagerly awaiting its final episode. The episode will also be shown in cinemas.

This show presented a unique love story, diverging from the usual narratives favored by Pakistani directors. At its center was Sharjeena (Hania Amir), a high-achieving woman who found herself entangled with the carefree and irresponsible Mustafa (Fahad Mustafa).

The drama beautifully illustrated how opposites could attract, a theme that resonated throughout the story. One of the standout elements that caught my attention was the dynamic use of music, particularly the transition from “Chal Diye Tum Kahan” to “Sajna Da Dil Torya.”

Mustafa evoked a mix of admiration and frustration. While he initially assisted Sharjeena with household chores, he struggled with communication and failed to address the issues in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Sharjeena juggled her studies and job, offering her unwavering support to Mustafa. However, when it came to understanding him, she did not seek help from her family, choosing instead to simply call out his name in desperation.

The parents of the main characters added another layer to the narrative; one parent unjustly accused their child of theft while the other blamed their son-in-law for their troubles. I could not help but feel that the parents should have trusted their children, as life is not always sunshine and happiness.

As viewers, including myself, we hope for a happy ending, yet the fulfillment of these expectations lay in the hands of the show runners. Pakistani dramas are no stranger to the opposite kind of ending, such as the hit drama Mere Pass Tum Ho where writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar chose a tragic ending, killing off the main hero.

As the story took its twists and turns, audiences were left confused about how to react and what to expect in the last episode. However, many viewers want their ‘Musjeena’ to have a happily ever after. The couple has shown us that everyone makes mistakes, and it is important to embrace and love them through their imperfections and flaws. Maybe it could be the same towards the end.

We saw that Mustafa forgave his parents and welcomed them into his home. Sharjeena, after losing their baby was also in need of support from her husband, which did not come. Will we finally see a relationship with healthy emotions on our TVs?

The final episode of the Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum will air on November 5.
