An elderly couple in Nagaur, Rajasthan, has reportedly died by suicide, leaving behind a note accusing their sons and daughters-in-law of harassment over property disputes.
The couple, identified as 70-year-old Hazariram Bishnoi and his 68-year-old wife Chawali Devi, were found in a water tank at their home on Thursday.
Neighbors grew concerned after not seeing the couple for two days and alerted their son, who then contacted the local police. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the tank’s lid open and the couple’s bodies floating inside.
According to police, the note left by Hazariram detailed the harassment he faced from family members. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, with the investigation ongoing.
