Station House Officer Sohrab Odho, was killed in a shootout between two rival clans in the Kuccha area of Shikarpur district.
Sources report that intense firing erupted between the Mehar and Jatoi tribes. Police officers, attempting to intervene and stop the fighting, came under fire, resulting in the death of SHO Odho, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Following the incident, additional police reinforcements were dispatched to the Kuchha area.
The Mehar-Jatoi conflict has reportedly been ongoing for several days, marked by intermittent gunfire.
The Interior Minister expressed condolences to the family of the deceased SHO, paying tribute to his sacrifice in the line of duty while combating criminal elements.
The Minister stated that SHO Odho achieved martyrdom while bravely confronting criminals and offered his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.
