All visits to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, including those to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, have been suspended until October 18 due to security concerns.
Sources indicate that this ban applies to all prisoners, prohibiting visits from party leaders, lawyers, and family members, including those intending to visit PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Jail sources attribute the suspension of visits to security concerns, particularly in light of heightened security measures implemented in Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) event.
According to jail sources, the decision to suspend visits was made by the Punjab government and affects all prisoners at Adiala Jail, not just Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
