The Director General of the Capital Development Authority Shahrukh Ali, announced that Galiyat Valley has attracted a record 1 million eco-tourists this year.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting sustainable tourism practices that not only support economic growth but also protect the region’s unique environment and cultural heritage.
In an interview, Ali outlined the efforts being made to enhance eco-friendly tourism in Galiyat, including the establishment of modern car parking facilities and the registration of over 50 hotels and guesthouses to ensure high-quality services for visitors.
This initiative aims to standardize accommodations, boost the local economy, and increase transparency in tourism operations.
The theme for this year’s World Tourism Day, “Tourism and Peace,” highlights the importance of tourism in fostering international understanding and cultural exchange.
