Punjab’s Department of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal will launch the “Himmat Card” program on September 16, providing financial assistance to individuals with disabilities.
The program will be officially launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who will personally distribute the first batch of cards to 15,000 recipients in Lahore.
The Himmat Card program aims to provide financial support to 65,000 individuals with disabilities across Punjab.
Each recipient will receive Rs 10,500 every quarter through an ATM card issued by the Bank of Punjab.
Registration for the program commenced in June.
The initial phase of the program will benefit 40,000 individuals, with the first distribution ceremony taking place in Lahore on September 16.
