Podcaster and YouTuber Junaid Akram made suddenly revealed on Wednesday that he will be stepping away from content creation.
In a reel posted to Facebook, Akram said that he always wanted to ‘be his own boss’ but had no idea about the things that would come with it.
He said that the constant travelling, meetings and working had led him to being ‘burnt out’.
“It is safe to say that it is time to switch off,” Akram said, before adding, “Goodbye!”
Akram is one of the more recognisable faces on Pakistan’s internet landscape with 1.17 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.8 million followers on Facebook.
His most-watched video was a vlog from Madina, that garnered over five million views.
Akram also posted his own podcast on his YouTube channel covering everything from politics to popular culture. He also interviewed Imran Khan in 2022, soon after his removal from the office of Prime Minister.
However, sources told Aaj Digital that Junaid Akram is simply taking a break from work. He will be back in three to four months and will be seen in a completely different style.
