Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Wednesday, reaching a new record high, mirroring the global trend. The local market saw a significant jump of Rs2,300 per tola, bringing the price to Rs264,000.
Similarly, 10-gram gold saw an increase of Rs1,972, closing at Rs226,337, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This surge follows Tuesday’s increase of Rs1,300, where the price settled at Rs261,700.
The international gold rate also climbed on Wednesday, reaching $2,524 per ounce (with a premium of $20), marking an increase of $23 for the day.
Silver prices, however, remained stable at Rs2,900 per tola.
This latest surge surpasses the previous record high of Rs263,700 per tola, which was achieved last month.
