A new spell of rainfall is expected across Pakistan from September 2 to September 5, the Met Office director general said on Friday.
“This upcoming season is classified as post-monsoon, which typically brings less rainfall,” Pakistan Meteorological Department Director General Mahr Sahibzad Khan told Aaj News.
The monsoon is currently “quite intense,” he said and added that a cyclone formed in the sea near Karachi on Thursday and rainfall is predicted for various regions of Sindh on Friday (today). The impact of the rainy season would be seen in Balochistan and southern Punjab.
“The country may experience one to two more spells of rain in the coming days,” he said.
