A massive traffic jam has paralyzed the Abbottabad-Murree Road, trapping hundreds of tourists as long lines of vehicles stretch for miles.

The gridlock, which stretches from Dhamtaur to Bagnotar, is a result of the influx of thousands of tourists from across Pakistan visiting the popular hill stations of Galyat and Nathia Gali for the Independence Day celebrations on August 14th.

The journey that typically takes minutes is now taking hours, causing immense inconvenience to both tourists and locals.

Traffic police are working tirelessly to clear the road, but the congestion is primarily attributed to reckless overtaking by passengers.
