At least two people were killed and eight others injured, including police officers, women, and children, in an explosion near Jalala Bridge in Mardan on Friday.

According to initial reports, the explosion occurred in the vicinity of the bridge. Police officials confirmed that the blast resulted in casualties and injuries, with the injured being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the explosion.
