The Karachi mayor has announced a local holiday on June 29 (tomorrow) on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (RA).
“All offices under the jurisdiction of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will remain closed on the above occasion, except essential services offices,” the KMC notification issued on Friday said.
On Thursday, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori inaugurated the 1,294th annual urs celebrations of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi at the shrine of the revered saint.
The governor laid a wreath on the saint’s grave and offered prayers for the development of the country.
Tessori said that he had a strong hope that Almighty Allah would not reject the prayers for the economic stability of the country.
