Different areas in Pakistan, including the federal capital of Islamabad, felt earthquake tremors of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale on Wednesday morning.
Various regions of the upper part of country include Peshawar, Kohat, Deirbala, Chitral, Bajaur, Mohmand, and Malakand experienced earthquake tremors.
Earthquake shocks were also felt in Swat, Upper Dir, Mansehra, Nowshera, and Mardan.
The earthquake jolts created a sense of panic and fear among people who rushed out of their homes and shops; however, no causalities or damage was reported.
The depth of the epicenter was 145 kilometers, located near the the central point of Tajikistan-Afghanistan border.
Similarly, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale shook Swat and surrounding areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, causing panic among residents on June 2.
