An opposition member rebuked Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for not delivering a speech in Urdu while presenting the annual budget in the Sindh Assembly on Friday.
Sindh CM Murad had started his budget speech in English, which the opposition members did not find appropriate. They intervened and reprimanded the chief minister. But Murad continued delivering the budget speech in English despite the opposition’s objection.
When the opposition member protested against the chief minister’s use of English for the budget speech, the speaker dismissed the opposition’s objection.
It is noteworthy that the Sindh chief minister has announced a significant increase of 22% to 30% in salaries as part of the new budget.
