DCs instructed to ensure cleanliness in Punjab

Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman has instructed deputy commissioners to ensure special measurements are taken for cleanliness and immediate removal of waste on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.

Directions were given during a joint online meeting of all divisional commissioners at Civil Secretariat on Thursday.

Zaman also said that the response time should not exceed more than 30 minutes in case of complain related to the issue on Eid.

Secretary stated that all necessary facilities are being provided in the cattle markets for citizen’s convenience. He further said that crackdown on illegal cattle market must be intensified on Eid.

The Chief Secretary of Punjab announced that, under the Chief Minister’s guidance, reforms are underway to improve governance. These reforms include the introduction of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of administrative officers.

The Chief Secretary emphasized the government’s commitment to providing basic amenities in villages, similar to those available in cities. He highlighted the “Suthra Punjab” program as the foundation for a new model of village-level governance.

The meeting was attended by the officers from relevant departments ,except divisional commissioner and Deputy commissioner attended through video link.
