United States Ambassador Donald Blome has decided to move to Karachi from Islamabad after having his best food in Pakistan.
“So far the best meal, I’ve had in Pakistan, honestly. I have made a decision. This is I didn’t know about this before, but I’ve decided I’m going to move to Karachi. Yeah, I’m coming down here, and I am going to stay,” he said in the video uploaded on the US Consulate General Karachi page on Saturday.
He had visited the city’s famous food street, the Burns Road.
Blome had a barbeque, nihari, in the main course at the famous Waheed House. The delicious taste prompted him to say: Mazydar Hai.
He cannot resist saying karak tea after having tea from a local hotel. After the spicy food, he had rabri and falooda at the Delhi Rabri House.
Karachi is known for its wide variety of foods.
Last year, the city hosted the first International Burns Road Food Festival. The area was developed into a food street by the city government owing to its rich food menu.
