The mystery surrounding the body of a man found in a sack near the Chalo Bawari drain in Quetta’s Satellite Town nine days ago has been solved. Police have arrested the victim’s wife and two of her accomplices for the murder.
According to sources, the case was transferred to the Crime Investigation Wing after an FIR was registered. The SSP Serious Crime Investigation Wing, using modern technology, tracked down and arrested two suspects, Nasibullah and Nida Muhammad, from Satellite Town after seizing the victim’s wife’s mobile phone.
During interrogation, the arrested suspects confessed that they had killed the victim, Abdul Khaliq, at his home with the help of his wife, Zarghona.
They then placed his body in a sack and kept it at the house until nightfall. Later, they transported the body on a motorcycle and dumped it near the drain in Chalobawari before fleeing.
The suspects revealed that they were both having illicit relationships with the victim’s wife, and Khaliq had become aware of their affair. They had initially planned to frame Khaliq in a drug case but failed. They then decided to kill him.
