Indian woman Anju decides not to return to Pakistan, leaving husband in distress

Indian resident Anju who fell in love with a Pakistani youth and married him has decided to change her plans and not return to Pakistan.

Anju hd gone back to India to visit their children and has not returned since. Her husband Nasrullah in the Dir district is suffering from severe mental distress.

According to social media platform X, a post by Rafat Ullah Orakzai wrote: “The young man from the Dir district of Pakistan named Nasrullah, who had married an Indian woman, is now suffering from severe mental distress.”

Nasrullah has stated that due to the tense Pakistan-India relations, his marriage is falling apart - he cannot go to be with Anju, nor can she come to him.

He is questioning whether they have any right to live a happy life together.

“How long will we have to live in this state of tension? I have applied for a visa for Anju to come to Pakistan, but she is being denied a visa in the name of security. Similarly, I am also not being given a visa to go to India,” he said.

“It would be better for us to move to some other country, because it seems that India and Pakistan do not accept us. I have not committed any sin by getting married, yet both countries are unwilling to accept us” he said.
