Scorching heat kills worshipper, police inspector

A police officer succumbed to the intense heatwave gripping the country, while a worshipper died in Okara due to the scorching temperatures.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Akhtar Hussain, stationed at the Qasimabad police station in Hyderabad, collapsed while on duty. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Hospital authorities confirmed that ASI Hussain suffered a heart attack, likely triggered by the extreme heat. His body was handed over to his family.

Meanwhile, in Okara, a worshipper lost his life due to the intense heat and humidity. Rescue teams attempted to provide medical assistance, but the individual could not be revived.

The tragic incidents highlight the severity of the ongoing heatwave, which has claimed lives across Pakistan.
