Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Raoof Hassan was injured in an attack in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Hassan was attacked by unknown men as he arrived at the office of a private TV channel in Islamabad.
News of the incident also reached the Senate, where the opposition staged a walk-out.
PTI leader Shibli Faraz condemned the attack, saying that Hassan was a spokesman of the largest political party in the country.
According to Aaj News, Hassan was attacked by 5-6 transgender people. The attackers targeted Hassan’s face, leaving him bleeding.
Police has began its investigation in to the incident and the CCTV footage of the incident is also being acquired.
