Summer vacation in all government and private schools of Sindh would commence on June 1 and end on July 31, the provincial government said on Tuesday.

In a notification, the government announced that the decision would apply to all private and government schools.

Summers in Pakistan generally start in April and last until September, but May and June are the hottest the hottest months.

Most parts of Pakistan, especially over Punjab and Sindh, are likely to swelter this week because of the high pressure in the upper atmosphere, the Met Office said.

Moreover, the summer vacations in all schools in Punjab will commence on June 1 and conclude on August 14.
