The government has found 2,361 counterfeit identity cards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 595 of them being used for vehicle registrations.
The federal government has promptly notified the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government about the situation.
The Ministry of Interior has stated that these fake identity cardshave been cancelled.
Detailed information regarding the registered assets associated with these fraudulent identity cards has been requested from the provincial government.
The Excise Department has been instructed to provide the records of the vehicles, while the details of properties and assets are being sought from the Revenue Department.

The Ministry of Interior has also requested the Counter Terrorism Police to provide details of any cases filed against the invalidated identity cards.
Additionally, data regarding weapon licenses issued based on these fake identity cards has been requested from the Ministry of Interior.
