The body of another Pakistani youth who died while trying to reach Europe through illegal channels has arrived in his native village.
The boy, who has been identified as Akash, lost his life when a boat carrying him from Libya to Greece capsized.
Akash was a resident of Maken village in Phalia. The people of his village are grieved at the loss his life along with his family members.
His funeral is set to be held at 2:30 pm in Phalia.
According to his uncle, Akash had left home for Greece four months ago. Although the family managed to maintain infrequent contact, they had not heard from him since the second day of Ramadan.
It later emerged that disaster had befallen the boat carrying Akash along with dozens of others and he had lost his life.
Akash’s uncle added that an agent had fed the boy grandiose dreams of a life in a foreign land and encouraged him to take the plunge.
He added that since Akash’s death, the agent’s phone was no longer responding.
