President Dr. Arif Alvi along with his family cast his vote on Thursday as he urged the nation to exercise their right to vote.
“We as a family reached our polling station, stood in line and have voted and urge all of you to come out & exercise your right. Pakistan needs your opinion as never before,” he wrote in a post on X.
He went on to add that Pakistan has asked for the nation’s advice through their vote to elect representatives to the National and Provincial Assemblies.
“It is therefore your Islamic, constitutional and civic responsibility,” he added.
Tens of millions of Pakistanis are heading to polling stations on Thursday to cast their vote amid soaring inflation and a surge in terrorist activities.
