Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that his party will provide free solar electricity to poor households and introduce direct subsidy schemes for youth and farmers.
Addressing the passing out parade at Bakhtawar Cadet College in Nawabashah, Bilawal said that no sector in the country can progress without the participation of women. A total of 57 women passed out from the college on Sunday.
He added that Benazir Bhutto had dreamed of a Pakistan which included women in all walks of life and women would take the cuontry forward.
The former foreign minister said that the country was facing an unprecedented economic crisis which could not be solved by the politics of mud slinging. He said that time had come for a new politics in the country.
He said that if given the chance, the PPP will provide free electricity through solar energy to families using less than 300 units. He also said the party would introduce youth cards and farmers cards on the pattern on Benazir income support.
Bilawal said that ‘roti, kapra and makan’ were needed more than ever before and the revolution that began in Sindh would be spread across the country.
