Police have claimed to have repulsed terrorists attack on a check post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday night.
According to police, terrorists attacked Chonda Police Station around 9pm on Sunday. Police responded to the attack and exchange of fire continued with terrorists for some time. The repulsive attack prompted militants flee the area.
CCTV footage showed that at least 10 terrorists flee the area after police responded to the attack. No loss of lives was reported.
The incident comes three days after three terrorists were killed when a group of terrorists attacked on a building in the Tank district’s Police Lines area. As many as five terrorists were killed in the clearance operation.
The building which came under attack was constructed five to six months ago and around 50 to 60 police personnel were deputed there, sources said. The area is two kilometers away from Dera Ismail Khan where at least 25 army soldiers were martyred in separate incidents earlier this week.
