Ayeza Khan, a highly followed Pakistani actress on Instagram, has issued an apology to her followers for her lack of posts regarding the Gaza invasion and her previous stance on prioritizing prayers over social media posts.
However, her apology has not been well-received by fans, as it still lacks a mention of Gaza, or Palestine, or a condemnation of the ongoing violence.
In a now-deleted post on October 5, the actress provided an explanation for her absence in discussing the situation in Gaza.
She expressed empathy for the Palestinian people but maintained that she believed daily prayers were more impactful than social media posts.
After facing severe criticism she took her Instagram and clarified her position, contending that her previous post had been misconstrued.
She penned, “I would like to take a moment to address an issue that has been misinterpreted and circulated. I won’t attempt to justify or explain because God knows that my intentions were not malicious, but I may have failed to articulate it well.”
However, the renewal of Palestine and Israel clashes have claimed many lives and many celebrities including Pakistani have expressed solidarity with Palestine which is facing war prolonged war since over decades.
