PPP President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed hope that his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be victorious with the sunrise on February 8 of next year, the day of the upcoming general elections.
“The February 8 sun will rise with the message of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s victory. PPP will end the peoples’ hardships,” he said according to PPP.
He thanked the masses for voting for the PPP in the local bodies by-election held a day earlier, saying that Karachi has also cast its vote in favour of the PPP.
“Murtaza Wahab and Salman Murad’s victory is Karachi residents’ special message for the opposition,” he said.
Zardari asked the workers to start the campaign for the upcoming general elections.
A day earlier, unofficial results of by-elections held on 26 local government seats in 16 districts of Sindh showed the PPP emerging victorious on 24 out of them on Sunday.
The remaining two seats were bagged by Jamaat-e-Islami and an independent candidate.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab won the by-election from UC 13 in Saddar Town while his junior Salman Abdullah Murad was victorious from Malir Gadap Town UC 7.
