A lot of the time, music has been a positive factor in difficult circumstances, keeping this in mind artists from the Middle East and North Africa collaborated to write an anthem in support of Palestine as the war between Israel and Gaza continues.
Rajieen’s lineup includes Afroto, Issam Alnajjar, and Marwan Pablo, among other artists from the region.
The Arabic word Rajieen means “returning.” It is an eight-minute song that was released by Empire, a US record company. The musicians in the black-clad video were filmed at Olive Wood Studios in Amman, Jordan, and sing and rap.
Both recent and vintage photos of Palestinians are included in the video, along with images from the Gaza War.
The video got 330,000 views on YouTube after just two days.
